Lost in the Wilderness.

There is so much more to this life than walking through the forrested darkness. Come to the water. Take the plunge; I'm ready and waiting to fall. Are you?

Sorry about being late...Geof and I have been busy these past few days. He's getting ready to leave this weekend for the Memphis writer's symposium with select students from his English class. I think I might be leaving this weekend as well; the Parallel is experiencing difficulties, I can feel them from here. DEUS might be trying to make a return, although I can't be sure (I will elaborate on this whole situation later). Geof has been very kind and hospitable to me throughout the length of my visit, and I am very grateful to him for everything he has done for me while I have been here in America. Because of our current situations, though, I am afraid that this will be the last week of my posts here on the 'Aesthetic'.

Life truly is a beautiful thing, full of wonder and varying degrees of amazement. Birds flying through the sunlight sky, blue hues illuminating the green contrast of the ground. Animals running to and fro across the hard earth. Even when everything is dead and gone, there is still a silent beauty emanating from the souls of each and every organism. At home, we have these, but not quite to the caliber of this extremely diverse nation. The buildings are the only living things anymore, constantly destroying and renewing themselves, never content with the original design. The culture there is ever-changing, always evolving, people's ideas always influencing each other; every few minutes a fashion changes, music goes out of style, etc... Content ness is non-existent in our culture; it is somewhat the opposite here in the United States. Things last longer, fashions stay in style, people's ideas are always changing, but it takes longer for the masses to hear. I must visit more often...

But for now, I think I shall take my leave. Geof has the evening off, and television has become a new favourite thing of mine...

Yuna.
